I am a Christian. The series points out legitimate concerns about socialism but fails to account for inevitable- (history demonstrates this well) concentration of wealth in unregulated capitalism. Corporations become the "wasteful government" in unregulated capitalism and the unfortunate reality is they are not Godly at all and don't even pretend to redistribute or share wealth. At least the state does this. Ideally a regulated capitalism and a state providing of a safety net for the poor would be instituted. This series is too biased against socialism, which Jesus would have supported way more than unregulated capitalism, as despite its waste it shares relatively more with people of little means.
