I grew up in a slightly confusing Christian home. My mother was devout but my father was an alcoholic my entire life. It was confusing to me as a child to watch him say one thing but live another, and as a teen I rebelled. I was very self centered during these years and wanted to be anywhere but our chaotic home. I took a semester off of college after high school to work and just as I was getting back into the rhythm of being a student again I found myself pregnant; my parents also separated at that time. My then boyfriend and I got married and about a year later he left for boot camp for the Navy. We moved across the country to California in 2010 and have been here ever since! After 10 years of prayer my husband became a Christian. I am a stay at home mom and homeschool my three kids, am an avid reader and lover of learning, and we are involved in our local church.
