Derek Bartlow
|
Advisor, Former Board MemberHello! I'm Derek. Here is a little of my story. I grew up in Idaho, the oldest among 3 other siblings, and my parents were and continue to be very active in attendance and leadership at our church. Their love and devotion to Christ has always been clear, contagious and influential for me. Growing up, favorite childhood memories involved spending time with friends at church events, catching frogs, riding my bike, climbing trees and family vacations. In an unconventional manner, God used my public school experience to ignite a passion for apologetics. This contributed significantly toward my educational journey to Liberty University, where I would complete a graduate degree in Apologetics. My thesis involved the case for a Master Artist, and presented the gratuitous beauty of nature and the human aesthetic proclivity as together indicting evolutionary explanations and pointing to the expression of a personal and creative God, as espoused by Christian theism.
I have had the honor of attending live presentations from Norm Geisler, Eric Ludy, Ravi Zacharias, and Gary Habermas, under whom I studied. I continue to enjoy writing content related to apologetics, culture, and the Christian worldview for publication in my hometown paper and/or online. In my spare time, I enjoy leading a camp ministry, entrepreneurship, investment research, designing & marketing blowguns and other recreational gear, and kayaking. God has allowed me to serve in Christian education, youth ministry, camp ministry, disaster relief and/or mission trips in different states and in 2 other countries, including Senegal, Africa. It's an honor being apart of TRINICY's mission and it's one that I'm personally passionate about. I look forward to hearing your story, and I'm excited to walk this path together toward Christ, and His Truth and vision for us! |

Dr. Eusebiu Borca |
AdvisorDr. Eusebiu Borca studied at the Faculty of Theology, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. He is a university lecturer at Faculty of Letter, in Baia Mare, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. His main field of interest being the Old Testament, He is interested in finding ways in which the Pentateuch can be interpreted in a practical direction, using, in this sense, a Christological, allegorical and missionary hermeneutics. In order to improve and develop himself, he believes that it is essential that we never stop learning. He believes that life should be lived with a positive attitude. One of the fundamental ideas that guides him in life belongs to Jesus: "... in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you" (Mt. 7:12). It is healthy to think: "be you, the change you wish to see in the world," but it is not enough, it takes courage too, to act!
